NMUN•DC REGISTRATION PROCESS

Click on each section to see information you will need for the online application.

Still have questions? Contact dc@nmun.org or engh@nmun.org.

1) Contact information for the faculty advisor and/or head delegate (mailing      address, phone, fax, e-mail). Note: A correct e-mail address is very
      important for receiving communication.

2) An estimate of the number of student delegates to attend (a range of no      more than five - e.g., 5-10).

3) Payment Information for the $100 School Registration Fee. Applications      without payment will notbe considered.

4) Payment is accepted by:
    a. Visa or MasterCard on-line during the registration process (using our      secure server).
    b. Check (from the school or faculty advisor) or Money Order

-  Checks should be made payable to “NCCA” and mailed to:
     NCCA/NMUN
      2945 44th Ave. S., Suite 600
     Minneapolis, MN 55406

–   Plan ahead if requesting a school check. Universities may take six or
more weeks to process a check request. Submitting the request is not
enough. The actual check must be received by NCCA/NMUN before
an application is considered. Please turn in requests early and
follow-up on campus to make sure the check was actually sent.

–   When using credit card: To prevent errors, make sure the expiration
date is October 2012 or later. Credit Cards for delegations outside
the US must be in the name of the application contact/faculty advisor.
Be careful to enter the card correctly (Visa and MasterCard only).

   c. By Wire Transfer. Contact info@nmun.org for more information including
      additional fees.
How to Choose Countries to List on the Application.

Review the Committee Matrix and Committee Topics.
* NMUN•DC 2011 Committee Matrix pdf
* NMUN•DC 2011 Committees & Topics pdf

Committee Interest: The matrix indicates the committee assignments of each country to be represented at the simulation. If it is important to sit on a particular committee because of your interest in the topics or regional issues, be certain to select countries that are members of that committee. No more than three of your choices can be members of the Security Council.

Size: Compare the minimum and maximum number of delegates (far right column) of your countries of interest to the anticipated size of your delegation.

-   Each assignment lists a minimum and maximum number of delegates.
-   Only request countries whose minimum and maximum delegate      numbers are in a range your program can support. For example, if you
are bringing 8-12 delegates, you will not be assigned a country that
      can support 14-20 delegates.
-   To best accommodate the large number of schools attending, we
recommend you request countries that will result in you bringing two
      (2) delegates where allowed.
-   Note: Head delegates who do not sit on a committee can attend in
addition to the maximum number listed on the matrix.
The person you list as the application contact will receive an e-mail confirmation of your registration. Please print this confirmation for your records.
